Día de Acción de Gracias

Thanksgiving, also known in Spanish as ‘Día de Acción de Gracias’, is a celebration that has been adopted in many Latino families across the US, despite the fact that it’s not celebrated in Latin America.
On the Thanksgiving table of a Hispanic home you will not only find the traditional Turkey, Gravy and Mashed Potatoes but also Hispanic dishes such as Tostones, Tamales, Guacamole, Tortillas and more, thus creating a rich blend between both cultures.
But it’s not only the food that makes this holiday popular with Hispanics; it’s the Family, food and fun combined which makes this day special and cherished.
Happy Thanksgiving!
